So, the Washington natives decided to start the Seattle Coffee Company in the U.K, inspired by their love of Starbucks—which was still only in the U.S. But, once Starbucks started to go global, Scott and Ally decided to sell and move back to Seattle. They soon found themselves looking for quick, affordable, crowd-pleasers to feed their growing boys on busy nights; pizza is a good solution, but it can also be slow and expensive. So Scott and Ally wondered if they could figure out how to make individual, fast-casual pizza work; and they started MOD pizza as a one-store experiment. 15 years and more than 500 locations later, Scott and Ally have their answer: they can make it work.

In this episode from 2022, reporter Andrew Leland joins blind Linguistics Professor Sheri Wells-Jensen and a crew of 11 other disabled people. They embark on a mission to prove not just that they have what it takes to go to space, but that disability gives them an edge. On Mission AstroAccess, the crew members hop on an airplane to take a zero-gravity flight—the same NASA uses to train astronauts. With them, we learn that the challenges to making space accessible may not be the ones we thought. And Andrew, who is legally blind, confronts unexpected conclusions of his own.

Yesterday I sat down at the dinner table with my husband, and we ate in silence. We were both tired, it had been a long day, and I thought “what if this is what our relationship was like?”. I would probably feel lonely, disconnected, and bored. 
I can imagine over a series of silent dinner eating, I might feel like we are drifting apart. Or I might even get mad on the inside that he wasn’t talking to me (even though I could have initiated the dialogue). 
I have clients tell me that at first the silence was like an ache in their chest, but over time the ache hardened into awall. They stopped caring that they weren’t connected, instead they built a wall between them and their partner and shut down their emotional connection.
