What your Sleep Insights show

What your Sleep Insights show

In the My Sleep tab, Sleep Insights show how your sleep is changing over time. Here’s what each one means.

  • Ideal Wake Time: the time you get up every day. Rest calculates it from your Sleep Logs at the end of Phase 1.

  • Earliest Bedtime: the earliest you should get into bed. Together with your Ideal Wake Time, it forms your Sleep Window.

  • Sleep Window Consistency: how closely you follow your Sleep Window once you have one.

  • Sleep efficiency: the share of your time in bed that you actually spend asleep. It appears once you’ve logged at least 3 nights in a week.

  • Time to fall asleep: how long it takes you to fall asleep after you start trying, and how that is changing over time.

  • Time awake during the night: how long you’re awake after first falling asleep, and how that is changing over time.

All of these come from your Sleep Log, so logging every day keeps them accurate.

Your Consistency Score on the Today tab is a different number: it measures how closely you’re following the program, not how you slept. Learn more in How your Consistency Score works.

Rest is not a medical treatment and doesn’t replace care from your clinician.
