This page names the companies that process your check-in conversations on Rest’s behalf, what each one receives, and the commitment that governs it. The rules live in our Privacy Policy — in particular the “How AI Powers Rest” section; this page tells you who currently fills each role. Providers that do not receive your conversations — analytics, payments, email, hosting and similar — are covered by the Privacy Policy’s vendors-and-service-providers provisions rather than named here.
When we add, swap, or remove a provider that processes your conversations, we update this page and record the change in the changelog below — the commitments that govern them only change through the Privacy Policy, with notice to you. We keep an archived copy of every version of this page.
For each provider we list: its role, what data it receives, and the key commitment that governs it, with links to the provider’s own privacy policy and terms so you can verify firsthand.
OpenAI (OpenAI, L.L.C.) — Generates Rest Sleep Coach’s responses. Receives: your check-in messages or call transcript context, summaries of recent conversations, relevant sleep-log context, and our instructions. Commitment: “OpenAI will not use Customer Content to develop or improve the Services” (their Services Agreement §4.2). Their privacy & data-use documentation: openai.com/enterprise-privacy · terms: openai.com/policies/services-agreement
Anthropic (Anthropic, PBC) — Generates Rest Sleep Coach’s responses; we may route conversations to either LLM provider. Receives: your check-in messages or call transcript context, summaries of recent conversations, relevant sleep-log context, and our instructions. Commitment: “Anthropic may not train models on Customer Content from Services.” Their privacy policy: anthropic.com/legal/privacy · terms: anthropic.com/legal/commercial-terms
Vapi (Vapi Inc., a Delaware corporation) — Operates the live voice-call sessions for voice check-ins: streams call audio, coordinates the speech and AI providers below, and assembles the call transcript. Receives: live call audio and the resulting transcript. Audio recordings are not retained. Commitment: does not share call content with third parties for their model training (their Terms §4(b)). Their privacy policy: vapi.ai/privacy · terms: vapi.ai/terms-of-service
Deepgram (Deepgram, Inc.) — Speech-to-text: converts your voice to text during calls, under Rest’s own account. Receives: live call audio. Commitment: excluded from Deepgram’s model-improvement program. Their privacy policy: deepgram.com/privacy · terms: deepgram.com/terms
ElevenLabs (Eleven Labs Inc.) — Speech synthesis: turns the coach’s written responses into the coach’s voice, and hosts the coach’s voice model. Receives: the coach’s outbound text (which can reference things you told the coach) — it never receives your voice audio. Commitment: our account is opted out of use of our content to improve their models. Their privacy policy: elevenlabs.io/privacy-policy · terms: elevenlabs.io/terms-of-use
Langfuse (ClickHouse, Inc.) — Observability for the AI coach: stores records of coaching conversations (as text) so we can monitor quality, investigate errors, and keep the coach reliable. Receives: conversation records and related technical metadata. Commitment: a service-only license — our data is processed “solely for the purpose of enabling [them] to provide” the service, on our documented instructions, with no improvement or training use. Their privacy policy: langfuse.com/privacy · terms: langfuse.com/terms
We update this page whenever a provider that processes your conversations is added, removed, or replaced, with a dated entry below; changes to the commitments that govern them go through the Privacy Policy with notice. Archived versions of this page are available on request at [email protected].
